Mining Equipment Around Dallas and Fort Worth

Mining Equipment Transport

Heavy haul trucking needs a lot of attention to detail, and it's important to work with a trucking company dedicated to working with heavy haul requirements. Aside from that, there are various permits to get, and it's important to be mindful of safety and equipment.

Being in the business of heavy-haul transport certainly has its challenges, and isn't for everyone. This is why it's very important that the truck can handle plenty of weight, depending on what equipment, or items, you would like transported. Hauling mining equipment from one state to the other can be a long and tiring process, especially when there are no proper freighters available for the job.

After 2012, the mining industry has had to adapt to a lack of commodity prices and higher cost and pressure. To make it easier to handle these obstacles, miners have opted to reuse equipment in different locations to reduce cost and to explore new markets.

When you need heavy-duty trucks that can transport heavy mining equipment, safety is always the number one priority. With our underground loaders and haul trucks specially made with your safety, reliability and productivity in mind, our ergonomic equipment offers lots of space despite the size, with low costs per ton.

Do keep in mind that all surface mining equipment should be equipped with roll-over protection structures that meet the appropriate Society of Automobile Engineers publications.

Make sure that backup alarms should be installed in vehicles that have an obstructed rear view, with an alarm that is audible even amidst noise.

The important thing people must know is that despite driving the same haul road route each day, haul roads near active mining operations can change, and operators must pay close attention to posted signs, and to be aware of any changes in the traffic pattern of the mines.

Headlights must be kept on at all times whether it is day or night: as long as the vehicle/equipment is running, then so are the headlights. During nighttime, when approaching or following a vehicle that is closer than 60ft, use low-beam lights to avoid any accidents.

Light vehicles are required to have buggy whips, which must extend at least 3 feet above the roof line as well as green flashing lights on the roof when driving in active mining areas and roads. The buggy whips in question are dependent on the overall size of the vehicle, so that sufficient visibility is assured above the highest road berm on the site. Meanwhile, vehicles with clean, perfectly-functioning clearance lights and profile heights above 9 feet can be seen above the haul road berms, and therefore do not need buggy whips.

The proper use of safety belts is to be encouraged for all persons who are driving, operating or otherwise being transported by vehicles or equipment whenever safety belts are provided.

And most importantly, keep in mind that oversized load is anything that is transported which is more than 12ft wide, or has a height of at least 20ft, or weight that is 60 tons or more.
